I'm rich and I would gladly pay $10- $40 a month to stop Youtube from compressing away all of my quality. If saving money is the problem why doesn't Youtube charge creators to upload clear 4K footage to their Youtube channel instead of trying to charge for Youtube premium? I would gladly pay Youtube to not have my 4K videos turned into blurry pixelated videos. I attached a screen shot of 4K footage from youtube and you can barely see my Rolex, it makes the 4K footage look like 144p after uploading it to Youtube. It shows blurry blocky and pixelated on a 2016 MacBook Pro 15.4-inch (2880 x 1800) and it shows blurry blocky and pixelated on my iPhone XS Max.

I thought Youtube cared about quality but that can't be the case cause they wouldn't compress my 4K footage into blurry blocky pixelated video. When I view the footage in FCPX its flawless and crystal clear. Does Youtube compress new channels 4K videos in order to save money by using less storage space? I uploaded the same video to Vimeo using the same share feature in Final Cut Pro X and the videos are crystal clear with no flaws or pixelation. Does Youtube do this to discourage smaller new channels that are competition for the major channels? I upload my videos directly through FCPX with the share with Youtube feature so I know I'm uploading them correctly.
